Injuries and Death Empty Injuries and Death

Post by OtterAiden Sat Aug 18, 2018 12:56 am

Here on Justice Forever, we want to make sure that death isn't as punishing as possible, although we still at the same time want there to be impact when a character is harmed. That is why we have come together to decide on this solution:

For injuries that can be classified as moderate or worse, staff will mandate one thread focused on recovery and self-reflection, where the character will need to make at least 5 posts recovering, communicating with allies, or just reflecting on the battle itself. This is done as to prevent characters in one thread to be badly injured and then in another afterwards be completely unscathed. Also, at the same time, the player character can still partake in any threads before the injury occurred, although until the recovery thread is finished, they cannot partake in any more. This only counts towards PC v. PC battles and certain plot events designed by staff.

For death it is an entirely different story. When you die.. you're dead. That's it. Bye bye. Then again that isn't truly it, as the dead character can design a will in their death post that will gift their items(bases not included) to another character that they are personally friends/allies with, not to mention that when the dead account creates a new character, they will receive a 250 credit bonus upon creation.

Granted, neither of these are allowed for a character whose RPer has killed off, nor for inactive characters either. For these you're just a corpse that lost everything and is now stuck in the ground.

Those in the Student faction will be immune from death and thread invasion unless the student character being affect accepts it happening. The only true exceptions to this is when a Student initiates an attack(An actual attack, not just a light poke with a stick) or when they choose to partake in a dangerous moment in an event. Injury is allowed to be inflicted upon students, although amputation isn't allowed unless justified.
